On my October 1990 trip to Kenya and Tanzania, one of the special extras I observed was

Mother Nature’s finest time of year, spring. There where many newborn animals of several species

prevalent. The parents would diligently protect their young from predators and keep them "In the Shadows" of the brutal afternoon sun.
